This site uses no advertising cookies, no tracking cookies and no third-party cookies. What it does store on your device is listed in full below, and every item is needed to make the scan work.
1. What is stored on your device

2. Why we do not ask you to accept cookies
Under article 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act, which implements the European ePrivacy rule, consent is required for storage that is not strictly necessary to deliver the service you asked for. Both items above are strictly necessary, so no consent is required and there is nothing for you to accept or refuse. We show a short notice rather than a consent wall because the honest thing to do is tell you, not ask you a question that has one answer.
3. Measurement
We count how many people start a scan, how far they get, and where they stop, because a funnel nobody measures is a funnel nobody can fix. That counting is done on our own server, with no cookie, no device identifier and no cross-site tracking. Your IP address is not stored with these counts. No third-party analytics service is used, so no data about your visit leaves YER's systems.
4. How to control it
Every browser lets you block and delete cookies and local storage. If you block them for this site, the sign-in will not hold and the scan will not be usable. That is the trade, and it is why the items are classed as necessary.
